What is meant when we mention:
Love, Law and Light?
A Spiritual living commitment is living a life based in Love (respect for all beings: human, animal, plants, nature and the earth). Love is the most powerful energy. We all want it. No matter how much we have, we always desire more. Without it, we die. It is life.
Love is a life-perpetuating, ever-expanding, positively-nourishing energy that we are able to both give and receive. Scientists have found that living creatures, in every kingdom (animal, plant, insects and fungi, all the way to single-cell creatures) respond to love on all levels: mentally, emotionally, physically, socially, intellectually, spiritually and so on. We have the ability to focus love or shut it off completely.
Love can guide our motivations, plans, intentions, actions and goals, among other things. Being loved or receiving love is among the greatest and most satisfying pleasures that can be enjoyed in life. The more consistently we experience love, from our birth into this world, the more fulfilling our life becomes. The more we experience love, the more we want to share it with others. Unfortunately, we must note that this is just as true with misery.
Love gives us a positive outlook on life. It causes us to see the best in other people, places, circumstances and conditions. When we are the constant recipient of love, we are confident, strong and optimistic about life. Love is within all of us, from conception. Love is the living force that allows us to live our whole life until we render our physical body uninhabitable. Love is the living force within us that is always moving to grow, adapt, repair and fulfill the life process.
Law (human-made, natural and spiritual) is designed to provide safety, order and security for all who are affected by them. They are in effect whether we are aware of them or not. They apply to us even if we choose not to respect and obey them. They are always in operation.
The intention of any just law is ]to be positive, protective and universally applied to all members of the affected community, society or nation. Law is designed for upbuilding and univeral fairness. Law honors the growth and significant advancement of its constiuents. Law is for everyone's benefit. Spiritual and natural laws very much fall into this category. Human authored laws still aspire to reach these standards. This is why Vibrant Spiritual Living is vital to human advancement.
When we are knowledgeable about the laws that affect our lives, through education and experience, we can develop the wisdom to navigate them for our own personal and community benefit.
Light indicates information, knowledge and wisdom that we attain through spiritual revelation, energy transformation and Divinely-guided experiences. For the Vibrant Spiritual Living community it means that, individually and collectively, we seek objective information, constant education, respect for learning while embracing a "Growth" mindset. We do all these while accepting full responsibility for the state of our individual life, quality of mental, emotional and physical health, our personal, family and social relationships as well as our ability to build and enjoy a prosperous quality of life.
Respect for learning and education is vital to our personal and collective success because both cultivate knowledge, critical thinking, and adaptability—key traits in a rapidly changing world. Education expands opportunities, fosters innovation, and builds problem-solving skills, enabling individuals to navigate challenges effectively. Learning opportunities are always present in our world. When we embrace these opportunities, our lives are enhanced individually and collectively. When we shun these opportunities ('That is too hard for me, I am too old to learn this, I don't need to know this' and so on), we fall behind and the quality of our life deteriorates, continually.
A commitment to continuous learning ensures personal and professional growth, keeping one competitive in evolving fields. Moreover, education instills discipline, perseverance, and ethical values, shaping well-rounded individuals. Societies that value education progress economically and socially, benefiting all members. Ultimately, those who respect learning remain curious, open-minded, and resilient, turning obstacles into stepping stones. Without education, potential remains untapped; with it, individuals unlock doors to achievement, leadership, and meaningful contributions to the world. Success, therefore, hinges on a lifelong dedication to knowledge and self-improvement.
